More than work...
a relationship.

The Family Business

diverse high five.jpeg

The work opportunities offered here at the farm not only benefit our Bigs who live here but are open to other foster teens in the Austin area.  We have the unique ability to hire these young adults and give them the work experience they need while also understanding where they’re coming from and how that might pose challenges to their work performance.

With this understanding, we can offer the support and grace necessary to help them succeed—something other employers may not be equipped to do. Our desire is after working with us here at the farm, they would have life skills, work experience and references to propel them to their next opportunity.

We see these jobs as a great way to build friendships with the young adults we serve. Working side by side together fosters relationship. Working together will also grow the bonds between the youth and teach them how to work well with others as good work relationships are essential for personal and professional growth.

We hope that as these young adults come to work here at the farm, they will begin to trust us and look to us for more than a paycheck but for support.  Our work programs are also a means of meeting future tiny home residents.

The Family Business is also a means of spreading the word to the community about the heart of My Family's Farm. Every client, customer and guest will be exposed to our mission in hopes they will be moved to partner with our vision.

We are also eager to host classes, meetings and retreats for our partner organizations as a means of giving back to the community for their continued support of My Family's Farm.
